The Norwich Conference Network

The Norwich Conference Network, a project of The Blackstone Foundation, is a think-tank which confronts the epistemological issues presented by the times we live in. It is dedicated to the elucidation of four key questions:
  1. Where are we as a society?
  2. And how did we get here?
  3. Where do we go from here?
  4. How do we get there?
In the process, we examine many issues including the type of thinking necessary to confront these questions effectively and the actions necessary once they have been fully explored. To do this justice there can be no resort to ready-made responses or the seemingly authoritative pronouncements of received wisdom that obviate the need for fresh thought or careful investigation. We make it a rule to maintain a constant exposure to the widest available range of adventurous minds, probing intellects and sober thinking. In this way, we seek to avoid the danger of forgetting that yesterday’s questions may no longer be relevant today, let alone yesterday’s solutions.
